[ About ]

In 2021 Wanderlust Vision launched the first chapter of its Grand Tour series in Venice, on the occasion of the city’s 1600th anniversary.
The project was built around an in-depth research process, shaped by encounters with artisans and local voices. From this journey, two objects emerged - a Carnet de Voyage and a candle - conceived as tools of memory, observation and storytelling, deeply connected to Venice and the idea of travel.

[ W — Carnet de Voyage ]

Inspired by the travel notebooks of the historic Grand Tour, the W - Carnet de Voyage was designed as a companion for explorers and thinkers, a space to collect notes, sketches and reflections.
During the research days in Venice, the Carnet circulated among artisans and collaborators, gathering words and drawings that later became part of the visual communication for the event at Punta della Dogana, transforming the notebook into a shared and collective artifact.

Produced in a limited edition of 500 copies (16 × 21 cm), the Carnet features a rigid Fedrigoni Sirio Ultrablack cover with blind embossing, Swiss binding and silver foil on the spine.
Interior pages combine Munken Print White and Pop’Set Blue-Violet papers with black and silver offset printing. Printing and binding were curated by Fontegrafica.

[ Ca’ d’Oro Candle ]

The Ca’ d’Oro Candle is a handcrafted object rooted in Venetian material culture. Produced in a limited edition of 15 pieces, it is made from recycled candle wax and soy wax, in collaboration with Michela Bortolozzi (Eat & Run Lab).

Each candle stands on a unique base carved from briccola wood - the traditional poles of the Venetian lagoon - while its vertical form is inspired by the columns of Ca’ d’Oro.
Presented in a custom branded box, the candle balances functionality, craftsmanship and symbolic value.
