We designed this vinyl for the artist Klaus in collaboration with Zenith, drawing inspiration from the iconic Pilot watch and the world of aviation. As with every Wanderlust Vision project, the process was rooted in hands-on research: the sound and visual identity were developed through an in-depth visit to the Zenith manufacture.
During the visit, sounds from the production process were sampled by Klaus, while forms, mechanisms, and often invisible technical details of the watches informed the vinyl’s design. The record features three tracks, all created by Klaus, and is entirely free of prints, colors, or foils - its distinctive effect achieved solely through differently processed paper, embracing a minimalist approach that contrasts with contemporary vinyl production trends.
