Over two consecutive years, Wanderlust collaborated with Maratona dles Dolomites by developing a multi-layered creative project rooted in the official theme of each edition.
Starting from the event’s conceptual framework, we translated abstract themes into tangible visual narratives through illustration, graphic design, product design and photography.
For each edition, we curated a selected team of athletes sharing a common vision around creativity, environmental awareness and the value of collective experience. Alongside technical partners, we designed custom race kits and accessories, and defined the visual storytelling of the event by commissioning photographers to document people, landscapes, partners and race moments.
Wanderlust’s methodology moves from a single concept and expands it across different expressive layers, creating a coherent narrative system that connects artwork, products, people and imagery.

Maratona Dles Dolomites – Episode Two

[ 2023 — Umanitè ]

For the 35th edition of Maratona dles Dolomites, dedicated to Ciüf — “Flora” in Latin — we developed a project inspired by the natural heritage of Alta Badia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our interpretation focused on the relationship between humans and plant life, starting from visual research on local flowers. The resulting artworks translated the concept of flora into material, organic illustrations, highlighting nature as an essential and shared ecosystem.
We curated a six-athlete race team and partnered with Castelli Cycling to design a custom race kit, including a jersey, bib shorts and a special Gore-Tex vest developed exclusively for the event.

The team also tested the latest MET Helmets technology during the race, integrating performance-driven innovation into the project.
Additional product development included a dedicated T-shirt featuring an embroidered floral illustration.
The visual storytelling was completed through two photographic sets, shot at different moments of the event, with images by Achille Mauri and Stefano Carloni, who also created environmental shots highlighting the MET helmet within the race context, documenting athletes, partners and the surrounding landscape.

[ 2022 — Ciüf/Flora ]

The 2023 edition revolved around Umanitè, a theme centered on community, collectivity and shared identity. Wanderlust interpreted the concept through a series of pastel, expressive illustrations that visually explored the idea of the village as a metaphor for human connection.
Inspired by the proverb “It takes a whole village to raise a child”, the project examined how individual identity is shaped through relationships, diversity and coexistence.

Architecture, gathering spaces and rituals became symbolic references translated into graphic elements and visual narratives. We selected and invited a five-athlete team and once again collaborated with Castelli Cycling to design the official kit for the event.
Photography played a key role in expanding the narrative: Federico Earth documented both daytime and nighttime moments, exploring Alta Badia through light, shadows and atmosphere, and shaping a more intimate and interpretative visual tale of the event.
